Owen first moved to Leonia in 1988 and has been a member of the Players Guild since 1996, when he was cast in the Kander & Ebb musical revue And the World Goes 'Round. He served the past two years on the Play Selection Committee and was elected to the Board of Directors in June 2026, serving now as Co-Treasurer. Owen recently retired following a 35-year career in the corporate world, where he was "cast" in leadership roles in health care economics, finance, and executive management within the health benefits industry. Throughout those years, he found the Guild, and the company of "theater peoplr," to be the perfect creative counterbalance to the more regimented world of corporate business. Beyond the stage, Owen is proud to chair the Mayor's Advisory Committee on Race & Equity (MACORE), for the Borough of Leonia. He is honored to help support the Guild's long tradition of building community through exceptional theater.
